Khwai Molapo Camp

“A tranquil riverside retreat in the heart of the Khwai wilderness, where the Okavango’s wild heart beats loudest.”

Nestled in the serene western section of the NG19 Concession, Khwai Molapo Camp offers a sophisticated and exclusive escape, intentionally situated away from the busier lodge circuits of Khwai Village. This is a place where the wild is your only neighbor. The camp is elegantly perched overlooking the Khwai River, with a panoramic view that gazes directly into the iconic Moremi Game Reserve. Sheltered by a magnificent canopy of ancient leadwood and cathedral mopane trees, the camp feels like a secret garden in the middle of a vast, untamed wilderness.

This region is world-renowned for its high game densities and incredibly diverse ecosystems. Because the camp sits at the intersection of riverine forests, open floodplains, and lush savannahs, it provides a “front-row seat” to the drama of the African bush. As part of a vital wildlife corridor between the Okavango and the Chobe wilderness, the area supports exceptional year-round sightings, where the movement of large elephant herds, resident lion prides, and the elusive African wild dog is dictated only by the ancient rhythms of nature.

At Khwai Molapo, we believe that luxury is defined by the space to breathe, the time to observe, and the opportunity to immerse yourself in an unfenced environment. Here, the boundaries between camp and country blur; it’s not uncommon to watch hippos navigate the river or lechwe graze on the floodplains while you enjoy your morning coffee from the deck. This is more than just a place to stay—it is a deeply personal gateway to the soul of the Greater Okavango Delta.
