“Most visitors only see Botswana from 10,000 feet. We invite you to experience it from the ground – where changing ecosystems, vibrant communities, and wild encounters make the journey as extraordinary as the destination.”
Operated in open 4×4 safari vehicles. These are full-day safari expeditions through national parks and concessions.
Route Overview:
One of the most iconic overland journeys in Southern Africa. Far more than a transfer, this is a full-day safari expedition crossing three legendary wilderness ecosystems – linking the Okavango Delta to the Chobe Riverfront.
Your day begins before sunrise at camp with fresh coffee and light pastries before departing north. As you pass through Mababe Gate, the landscape opens dramatically into the vast Mababe Depression – a sweeping grassland plain reminiscent of East Africa, where you will enjoy a picnic breakfast surrounded by untamed wilderness.
Continuing north, you enter the storied Savuti region, world-renowned for its dramatic predator interactions and historic lion prides. Enjoy comfort stops at Marabou Pan and Ghoha Gate, where a wilderness picnic lunch is served beneath ancient trees. The final leg traverses the cutline and enters Chobe National Park via Ngoma Gate, tracking the Chobe floodplain into Kasane as dusk falls.
Route Overview:
Connecting our 3 Sisters Camps with the Khwai region, this game drive transfer turns a simple relocation into a rich safari through the celebrated Moremi Game Reserve.
Departing early through the southern Okavango wilderness, game viewing begins the moment you pass through the buffalo fence. Mopane woodlands yield to acacia savannahs as you arrive at Moremi South Gate. Inside the reserve, a picnic breakfast is served in the wild.
The route follows historic cutlines renowned for large elephant herds and rare antelope species – including sable, roan, eland, and tsessebe – which are seldom seen elsewhere in Africa. Exiting at North Gate, you track the scenic Khwai floodplain directly to your lodge.
Route Overview:
Your safari begins the moment your feet touch the tarmac in Maun. Met by your professional guide, you depart Maun, passing traditional homesteads and farmland en route to Shorobe – the historic gateway village to the Okavango.
In Shorobe, stop at a local women’s basket-weaving cooperative to witness master artisans crafting world-renowned Botswana baskets using natural palm fibers. Beyond Shorobe, the tar road gives way to gravel cutlines and wilderness tracks. As mopane woodlands transition into riverine floodplains, enjoy your first sightings of giraffes, zebras, elephants, and vibrant birdlife before arriving at camp in time for afternoon tea.
Operated in comfortable, air-conditioned closed vehicles. Ideal for inter-region connections, airport links, and cross-border travel.
Route Overview:
A seamless journey from the bustling safari hub of Maun into the vast, hauntingly beautiful landscapes of the Makgadikgadi. Traveling east along the tar road, observe daily life in rural Botswana as you pass local villages, cattle posts, and agricultural fields.
Cross the veterinary biosecurity checkpoint before skirting the edges of Makgadikgadi National Park and Nxai Pan National Park – frequently spotting elephants and plains game grazing near the roadside. Arriving at the village of Gweta, turn off onto sandy tracks that wind through ancient baobab and mopane groves directly to Marula Camp.
Route Overview:
Traverse northern Botswana from the salt pan periphery to the lush Chobe River system. Departing Gweta, head east toward Nata for a brief refreshment stop before turning north along the Veterinary Cordon Fence.
As you move north, vegetation turns noticeably greener and denser as you pass through Pandamatenga—Botswana’s primary agricultural crop belt bordering Zimbabwe. The final stretch passes through the Chobe Forest Reserve, a heavy wildlife corridor where elephant and buffalo sightings along the highway are common, before descending to Kazungula and arriving in Kasane.
