After nearly three decades of working with independently owned safari camps, lodges, and mobile operations across Botswana, Namibia, South Africa, and Zimbabwe, we’ve come to define a concept we proudly call Affordable Luxury.

Our camps and lodges are built on land we’ve either inherited or secured through long-term leases – typically 50 years, with the option to extend for another 50. These enduring commitments allow us to invest in the land, in our communities, and in the future of sustainable tourism – deeply, responsibly, and for the long haul.
So, what exactly is Affordable Luxury?
If we’re speaking about a fixed or permanent safari camp, this is what it includes:
- A warm and inviting guest area with a lounge, dining space, and bar – ideally overlooking a river, waterhole, or seasonal pan
- A swimming pool to cool off during the midday heat
- Wi-Fi discreetly available in a central area – present, but never distracting
Guest tents or rooms offer:
- Spacious en-suite layouts
- Twin or queen-sized beds
- Bedside tables, luggage racks, and inviting seating
- Writing or dressing tables
- Charging points for your devices
- Mosquito nets during the warmer months
- Portable fans beside each bed – simple, effective, and magical on warm nights
- Private bathrooms with showers or bathtubs, his-and-hers basins, and flushing toilets
Each stay includes three generous meals daily, complemented by a selection of local brand alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Our cuisine features a gentle but deliberate infusion of Botswana’s culinary heritage – creating meals with both flavour and a sense of place.
But the real African luxury? That lies in the experience.
Whether it’s a game drive through untouched wilderness, gliding silently through the Delta in a mokoro, walking with a guide across ancient animal paths, or drifting on a boat at sunset – the magic lies in the unscripted.
