Day 1 :
Your safari begins with a personal meet-and-greet at Kasane Airport. From there, transfer via game drive into the remote woodlands of Chobe National Park, well away from the busy lodge circuit. Your mobile camp is set beneath the shade of giant trees and offers large Meru-style tents with en-suite bush bathrooms, shaded verandahs, and all the essential comforts.
After lunch and a brief rest, head out on your first afternoon game drive, soaking in the wild beauty of Chobe’s interior. Enjoy sundowners in the bush before returning to camp for dinner and a night under the stars.
Day 2: Chobe River Magic
Start with coffee and a light breakfast before a morning game drive through the park, perhaps encountering elephant herds, sable antelope, or lion. After brunch and a siesta back at camp, transfer into Kasane for a sunset boat cruise on the Chobe River. Expect unforgettable sightings – elephants swimming, hippos yawning, buffalo grazing, and countless waterbirds in the golden light of dusk. Return to camp for a fireside dinner and a peaceful night.
Day 3:
After a final morning game drive and breakfast, say farewell to Botswana and cross the border into Zimbabwe. Arrive in Victoria Falls town, where you check in to a comfortable lodge with en-suite rooms and a pool. That afternoon, join a guided walking tour of the Falls, witnessing the mist, thunder, and rainbows that make this natural wonder so special.
In the evening, enjoy a gourmet dinner at The Lookout Café, with panoramic views of the Batoka Gorge and the Victoria Falls Bridge – a memorable end to your day.
Day 4: Fly to Hwange National Park
Following breakfast, transfer to Victoria Falls Airport for your scenic charter flight to Malindi Station Camp, nestled in a private concession bordering Hwange. The camp features authentically restored railway carriages with en-suite comforts, a raised guest lounge, and views over a waterhole often visited by elephant and other wildlife.
After lunch, relax and settle in before heading out on an afternoon game drive, concluding with sundowners and a three-course dinner back at camp.
Day 5: Classic Hwange Safari
Rise early for coffee and a morning game drive or bush walk, led by expert guides who will help interpret the park’s rich ecosystem. After brunch, enjoy downtime at the lodge or the viewing deck before heading out again for an afternoon drive, with the option of a night drive after dinner to search for nocturnal wildlife like civets, hyena, and porcupine.
Day 6: Farewell to the Wild
One final morning activity, perhaps a walk or short game drive, before returning for breakfast. After farewells, transfer to the airstrip for your charter flight back to Victoria Falls, where your journey ends or connects to your onward travels.
Known as The Land of the Giants, Chobe boasts the largest concentration of elephants on earth, many of which migrate along ancient corridors to the Chobe River to drink, bathe, and socialise. Beyond elephants, expect to encounter lion, buffalo, leopard, and a staggering diversity of birds and plains game. While the riverfront near Kasane can be busy, this itinerary takes you deep into the park’s quieter forested interior, where wildlife roams free and human presence is minimal. The mobile safari allows you to wake up inside the park, surrounded by the rhythms of the bush.
Zimbabwe’s largest national park, Hwange is famed for its diverse habitats and abundant wildlife, including elephant, lion, cheetah, giraffe, painted dogs, and over 400 bird species. The park’s vast size and relatively low tourist density create an exceptional game-viewing experience.
At Malindi Station Camp, situated on a private concession bordering the park, you’ll enjoy the romance of sleeping in restored vintage railway carriages, while exploring the wild via day and night game drives, guided walks, and deck-side wildlife watching.
Often called Mosi-oa-Tunya – “The Smoke That Thunders” – Victoria Falls is one of Africa’s most iconic landmarks. The sheer power of over 500 million litres of water plunging over a 100-metre drop is breathtaking, especially when experienced up close on a guided walk. But Victoria Falls is also a vibrant town, with colourful markets, unique cafés, and dramatic viewpoints. Dining at The Lookout Café, suspended above the gorge, is an unforgettable highlight.
