Tucked away in the untouched NG35 concession of the Greater Okavango region, Losika Elephant Camp offers discerning travellers an affordable yet luxurious safari. This citizen-owned camp channels the spirit of traditional safari – with elevated, en-suite tents overlooking a seasonal pan, and a central guest area featuring a thatched lounge, bar, plunge pool, and boma.
Activities & Experiences
Your days at Losika are filled with expertly guided game drives, seasonal mokoro excursions, birdwatching, cultural interactions, and – optionally – night drives, fishing, bush walks, and scenic helicopter flights. Between activities, enjoy downtime at camp: reading on your veranda, taking a dip, or watching elephants gather at the water.
Wildlife
Located near the Gomoti Channel, Losika boasts rich biodiversity: elephants, hippos, buffalo, wild dogs, leopards, and prolific birdlife thrive here.
Nestled among ancient riverine trees overlooking the Mbudi Lagoon, Saguni Safari Lodge lies in the heart of the game-rich Khwai area. ‘Saguni’ – from the Bushman language – means “an area of abundant game and spectacular sights,” a promise the location lives up to.
Accommodation
Stay in one of 13 Forest Tents shaded by the tree canopy. Alternatively, opt for one of 8 elevated River Tents offering lagoon views. All accommodations blend seamlessly into their natural surroundings and offer comfort with character.
