Arrival & First Encounters

You’ll be welcomed at Maun International Airport with light refreshments, followed by a scenic road transfer through the village of Shorobe – renowned for its artisan weaving – into the wilderness. After settling in, enjoy high tea and your first gentle sundowner drive.

Tucked away in the untouched NG35 concession of the Greater Okavango region, Losika Elephant Camp offers discerning travellers an affordable yet luxurious safari. This citizen-owned camp channels the spirit of traditional safari – with elevated, en-suite tents overlooking a seasonal pan, and a central guest area featuring a thatched lounge, bar, plunge pool, and boma.

Safari Immersion

Mornings begin with coffee or tea delivered to your tent, followed by a sunrise game drive. Midday is yours to enjoy at leisure. After high tea, head out again for an afternoon safari. Optional night drives available after dinner. Evenings end around the fire under star-filled skies.

Khwai Concession | Saguni Safari Lodge

Community, Conservation, and Classic Game Viewing”

Khwai is a thriving wildlife corridor and community-managed concession renowned for its predator sightings and elephant herds. Staying at Saguni Safari Lodge, youll enjoy spacious forest tents tucked beneath towering riverine trees beside the Mbudi Lagoon.

Day 4: Transfer to Khwai – A Journey Through the Delta

  • Early departure with picnic breakfast
  • Game drive through the game-rich Xakanaxa region
  • Arrive at Xakanaxa Boat Station for a light lunch and water excursion through the deeper Okavango
  • Continue by game drive to the Khwai region
  • Afternoon: Arrival via game drive

Day 5:

  • Early morning safari in the floodplains
  • Leisurely lunch and siesta
  • Afternoon mokoro experience (water levels permitting)
  • Sundowners and a final game drive

Day 6:

  • Early breakfast and short game drive
  • Charter flight from Khwai to Maun
