“A tranquil riverside retreat in the heart of the Khwai wilderness, where the Okavango’s wild heart beats loudest.”
Khwai Molapo Camp is located in the renowned Khwai region of the eastern Okavango Delta, where the eastern edge of the Moremi Game Reserve meets the community-managed NG19 concession along the Khwai River. Long regarded as one of Botswana’s top three wildlife destinations, this remarkable region is defined by its rich biodiversity, varied vegetation, and consistently exceptional predator sightings within a relatively compact wilderness area.
Nestled in the far western corner of the private NG19 concession, Khwai Molapo Camp enjoys a truly privileged position overlooking the Khwai River floodplains and the boundary of the Moremi Game Reserve. The camp has been thoughtfully elevated above the ground, a design choice driven by both practicality and experience – wildlife moves freely through the area, often passing directly beneath the lodge, offering guests an uninterrupted connection to the surrounding wilderness.
A full suite of guest facilities, including a lounge, dining room, bar, swimming pool, and expansive viewing decks, combines seamlessly with luxury en-suite tented accommodation. This blend of comfort, design, and location reflects the AfriTourism “affordable luxury” philosophy, creating a safari experience that is both immersive and accessible.

FACILITIES
Khwai Molapo Camp features 12 spacious luxury tented suites, each elevated on raised platforms and connected by wooden walkways to the main guest areas. Designed to harmonise with the natural environment, each suite offers privacy, comfort, and a strong sense of place.

Each suite includes a private outdoor seating area with uninterrupted views of the Khwai River floodplain. From this vantage point, guests may observe elephants, buffalo, and waterbuck moving along the riverbanks, hippos surfacing in the channels, and a constant flow of birdlife across the water – bringing the rhythm of the wilderness directly to the doorstep.
The lodge also offers two exclusive Presidential Suites, designed for enhanced luxury and privacy. These spacious units can be configured as premium family suites, making them ideal for families or small groups seeking an elevated safari experience. With generous living space, refined interiors, and prime riverfront positioning, they represent the highest level of comfort at Khwai Molapo Camp.
